Meet the aquatic specialists

Genie

Genie is the founder of the company and the leader in program design and development. She graduated from Nichols State University with a BA in speech education and a BA in speech pathology. For 50 years, she has been a Red Cross Water Safety Instructor and built and maintained successful learn to swim programs, aquatic fitness programs, aquatic therapy programs and a nationally ranked competitive and professional synchronized swimming team. Genie has made a lasting impact on her community by providing invaluable lifesaving programs and promoting health and wellness through the water to generations of families.

Amanda

Amanda has been a part of the family business for more than 40 years, benefiting from the various aquatic programs developed by Genie and then an employee of the company as an instructor, trainer and office administrator. Amanda has extensive knowledge and experience in the area of education and program development. She attended University of South Florida, where she earned a BA in Psychology and a MA’s Special Education and Edu-cation Leadership. She has been a Florida and Pennsylvania certified teacher in Special Education K-12, Elementary Education K-6, and English Language Learners K-12 for more than 15 years. Amanda has more than 25 years of experience working with children in education, home daycare, learn to swim and synchronized swimming training programs. She was a competitive synchronized swimmer and speed swimmer for 15 years and has been a Red Cross Water Safety instructor since 1993.

Molly

Molly has grown up working with AFF for the past 30 years, both as a participant in learn to swim and training programs and, later, becoming an aquatic expert, working as a trainer and coach herself. She has been a certified Water Safety instructor since 1998. Molly’s many additional qualifications include extensive office and business management experience through her work as a paralegal in law offices in both Miami and Orlando. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Degree in English Literature and a minor in Special Education. Molly is a certified English teacher in the state of Florida. She has worked with children in education, home daycare, learn to swim and synchronized swimming training programs for more than 20 years.
